MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION
(Under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860)
1. Name:
The name of the Society shall be
Strabismus & Pediatric Ophthalmological Society of India (SPOSI)
2. Address:
The Registered Office of the Society shall always remain wherever the Secretary of the Society is situated.
Presently it is located at Room No-205, OPD Block, Guru Nanak Eye Center,
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Marg, New Delhi-02
3. Aims and Objectives:
- To cultivate and promote the study, research and practice of Strabismology and Pediatric Ophthalmology.
- To promote professional fellowship and social contacts amongst the members of the Society.
- To promote continuing education by organizing conference, symposia, seminars, workshop and refresher courses etc.
- To promote mutual exchange of knowledge among the members and professional colleagues all over the world.
- To promote the development of machinery implements, appliances etc., with a view to encourage and improve the manufacture of such products in India.
- To encourage the formation of state Strabismological & Pediatric Ophthalmological Societies.
- To coordinate with activities of various associations / societies of medical disciplines.
- Raising finance through subscriptions, contribution, donations from members and non-members.
- Acquiring moveable and immoveable property and assets and its maintenance, disposal, alterations, mortgaging etc. that may be necessary for the above said objectives.
- To frame bye laws, rules and regulations and to amend and alter or delete the same as and when necessary.
- To undertake any steps, procedure, act as may be deemed necessary to attain the aims and objectives of the Society.
- All the income of the Society will be utilized on its objects only.

Rules and Regulations
ARTICLE I: Name
The name of the Society shall be Strabismus & Pediatric Ophthalmological Society of India,
herein after referred as the Society.
ARTICLE II: Governance
The Society shall be governed by its Rules and Regulations and its bye laws.
